Kyten Terms of Service

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Kyten platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service. We may modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Kyten provides a digital integrity and verification platform. The Service allows users to generate a cryptographic "fingerprint" (hash) of a digital file and record that fingerprint along with a timestamp onto a tamper-evident public integrity ledger. This creates a permanent, verifiable proof of existence for the file at a specific point in time. Cryptographic Standards: Kyten uses ED25519, a state-of-the-art elliptic curve digital signature algorithm that provides high security with efficient performance. ED25519 is based on Curve25519 and is widely recognized as a secure, modern cryptographic standard suitable for digital signatures and key generation. All cryptographic operations comply with industry best practices and international security standards.

CRITICAL NOTICE: Kyten is a non-custodial service. We Do Not Store Your Files: The file processing (hashing) occurs locally on your device using ED25519 cryptographic algorithms. We never upload, view, or store your original documents on our servers. Your files remain entirely under your control and never leave your device during the hashing process. Your Responsibility: You are solely responsible for retaining and securing your original files. If you lose, delete, or alter the original file, the "Digital Certificate" and verification proof generated by Kyten will become mathematically useless. Kyten cannot recover lost files. We strongly recommend maintaining secure backups of all files you process through our Service. Private Key Management: When cryptographic keys are generated (using ED25519), you are responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of your private keys. Kyten does not store or have access to your private keys. Loss of private keys may result in permanent inability to access certain features or verify ownership of your records.

Credentials: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized access to your account. Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. If you are under 18, you may only use the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. Integrity Keys: In the background, our Service may generate ED25519 cryptographic key pairs to secure your records. These keys are generated using industry-standard secure random number generators. You agree not to interfere with the management of these keys or attempt to compromise the cryptographic security of the Service. Identity: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering. For Enterprise or Professional tiers, we may require identity verification to issue "Verified Creator" badges. Providing false or misleading information may result in immediate termination of your account.

Freemium Model: Kyten offers a limited free tier. We reserve the right to modify the limits of the free tier at any time with reasonable notice. Subscriptions: Premium features (e.g., Bulk Processing, Advanced Verification) are billed on a recurring subscription basis. Subscription fees are charged in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Payments are non-refundable except as required by law or at our sole discretion. Price Changes: We reserve the right to modify subscription fees at any time. Price changes will be communicated to you at least 30 days in advance. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing. Processing Fees: Certain high-volume actions may incur "network processing fees." These are pass-through costs required to write data to the public integrity ledger using ED25519 signatures. Kyten aims to include these in your subscription, but reserves the right to apply surcharges during periods of high network congestion or for exceptionally large operations. Payment Methods: We accept payment through various methods as displayed on our payment page. You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases.

Your Data: You retain all ownership and intellectual property rights to the files you process through Kyten. Creating a verification record does not transfer copyright to Kyten. Kyten IP: The interface, logos, software code, and "Certificate of Authenticity" design are the property of Kyten.

You agree not to use Kyten to: Create "proofs" for illegal content (e.g., malware, child exploitation material, stolen data). Attempt to reverse-engineer the verification protocol. Automate use of the Free Tier to avoid payment (e.g., "farming" accounts).

Evidentiary Tool: Kyten provides high-fidelity technical evidence of a file’s existence and integrity. No Legal Guarantee: While our technology is designed to meet international standards for e-evidence (such as eIDAS and the E-SIGN Act), Kyten is not a law firm. We do not guarantee that a specific court or jurisdiction will admit your proofs. Admissibility depends on local laws and how you present the evidence.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kyten shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data (your original files), loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of your use of the Service.

We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your account data may be deleted, but the Public Integrity Records (the hashes and timestamps previously created) are permanent and cannot be removed from the public ledger.
